In the summer of 2023, when Rodkjær Event was organizing a music event with over 10,000 participants, they wanted to constantly monitor how many people were present at any given time on the event grounds, so they could anticipate when attendees would start leaving.
In collaboration with KIBO, they developed the mobile person-counting system, Event Gate. Mikael Rodkjær, founder of Rodkjær Event, highlighted its benefits for crowd control:
"As the event was concluding, we could see that we still had 10,000 people on the premises, indicating that 5,000 had already left. This information is crucial for managing aspects like bar services and food handling, as we can, for example, close down an entire bar." - Mikael Rodkjær
Event Gate Provides an Overview of the Number of Guests
Event Gate is a mobile people counting system that uses mobile surveillance cameras positioned at the entrances to the venue to keep track of the number of people entering and exiting the event area.
This allows event hosts to maintain complete oversight of the current number of attendees at any given time, whether it's a music event, a market, a trade show, or similar gatherings.
